Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. I live an hour and a half from the beach. Recently I had the occasion to visit the beach. People were sparse on the beach that day. The sun was warm, the waves were thunderous, the breeze refreshing. It was a wonderful time to reflect and to pray. I watched, as an occasional person would walk by just escaping the remnants of the cold waves bursting onto shore. The beauty of God’s creation mesmerized me. Yet, my eyes were directed to the footprints of those who passed before me and how quickly the record of their presence vanished by the shallow water sweeping over the sand. The lesson is simple. Do not let the waves of this world wash away your opportunity to redeem the time. Wisely utilize it not to gain knowledge only, but to instill hope in Jesus, perseverance in Faith, the desire to grow in God’s word; in the lives of those we have the privilege to reach. So true! "Wisely utilize it not to gain knowledge only, but to instill hope in Jesus, perseverance in Faith, the desire to grow in God’s word; in the lives of those we have the privilege to reach."
