Christian, have you ever considered this?
We've heard these verses over and over: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” and “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Christ brings about a settlement so differences are resolved and the Holy Spirit pleads on our behalf. Think about that for a while! DP

Great Witness
Great Witness – One of the greatest witnesses in the Bible is the woman in John chapter 4. A great message by Dr. Ed DeVries A very succinct, engaging, and interesting message about “Good Wednesday” Good Wednesday - Rightly Divide (drdonporter.com) (KJV) Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
(GNB) Php 3:13 Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead. Growing up on a farm with cattle, chickens, pigs, raising tobacco, corn, hay, and a garden has provided more memories and stories than I could possibly share, although some are hilarious and some were great life lessons to be learned. One of life’s lessons learned was learning to plow the ground. Learning the mechanics of the tractor, depth of the plows, etc. was relatively simple although you must always think about safety. As I set out for my very first furrow, my father said; “pick a tree or a post, some landmark and drive toward that and don’t look back!” Well, as I got part way through that first furrow, what happened? Wait… Wait… You guessed it! I looked back and as I did, the tractor drifted to the side and my furrow became crooked. As a lesson my dad let me plow a couple more furrows and no matter what I did, I could not straighten it. But my dad knew how to correct my mistake. Once corrected, then I could continue on learning my lesson and trusting my dad’s instruction and the furrows were straight indeed. Many times our Christian walk and our Church life is the same way! We look back. We see what was done and regardless of how we try we just can’t straighten out the crook. That crook could have a long term effect unless we stop and let our Father straighten it out. So like the Apostle Paul stated above, let’s forget the past and reach forward toward that which is ahead. C. Dwayne Baird, VP, School of Biblical and Theological Studies Instead of doing the same thing over and over and over again at your church that is; following the bulletin, the old moldy order of service, or how Pastor so and so did in your past - truly have a desire to reach your community! Do something different: a special meeting, women’s meeting, men’s meeting, etc. - And invite the whole community! DP
Not without consequences, 2 Samuel 12 is the greatest story of discipline, repentance, forgiveness, mercy, grace, and restoration in the Bible.
Read the chapter slowly and you will be filled with knowledge from the Holy Spirit with which you will have cause to strengthen yourself and another. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? Don't forget Moses, Joshua, and Gideon. #christianity #religion #baptist
My Lord and My God:
In John 20:28, Thomas (Doubting Thomas) made the statement about Our RIsen Lord, Jesus Christ. What did he say and why? "The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe." -- Thomas, one of the twelve Jesus appeared unto the disciples in the upper room a second time, this time Thomas was present. Jesus knowing Thomas, said, "Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reachhither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing." Thomas answered Jesus, My Lord and my God! Doubt turned into faith. Blessed are those who have not seen but yet believeth. AMEN! Jesus is our LORD and yes, Jesus is God in the flesh. Mr. Heeb is in hell screaming because the flames are on and in him. He had his chance to believe and he rejected Jesus as his Lord and his God. He taught the Arian doctrine and denied the deity of Jesus Christ. He believed in the false doctrine that rejected the deity of Jesus Christ. Its not too late for you today. Today is the day of repentance. Is God calling you to salvation? answer today! "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." -- 1 John 5:20 |
